About Me.

Hi I’m Jess. I’m a nonbinary, UI designer with over 7 years experience in graphic design and digital marketing.

In my previous role, I was asked to look at the UI of the inhouse software, and discovered my passion for creating visually pleasing interfaces that prioritise the users’ needs and embody the client’s brand.

I have since improved my skills through CareerFoundry's UI design program, and am now seeking a role that will allow me to go back to working full-time in a team, showcasing my design, wireframing and prototyping skills.

My background

I was born in Auckland, New Zealand but have spent the last 25 years in living in South West England.

I grew up in a tech-focused family home, surrounded by computers and gadgets from a young age. This environment, and my parents encouragement, sparked my curiosity and love for using the computer as a creative tool early on. Leading me to spend countless hours creating digital art, and landing me a job in Graphic Design and Marketing.

During my time in Marketing, I developed a passion for web design and soon found myself asking “how can I use this to help others?” Which ultimately set me on the path to becoming a UI designer.
